Paris, Séoul brings together two Korean artists based in France whose works explore how time and light take shape in matter.
Kwang Bum Jang builds up layers of acrylic before patiently sanding them back, revealing colours and rhythms that evoke mountains, water and the memory of landscapes. His paintings give visible form to the time embedded in their making.
In Jeounghee Kim’s layered glass sculptures, lines appear and dissolve as the viewer moves. His calligraphic practice suggests a parallel sensitivity to rhythm, gesture and the spaces between forms.
Together, their works open a dialogue between accumulated colour and shifting transparency. Paris, Séoul invites us to slow down, change perspective and discover how a seemingly still surface can hold a sense of movement.
