Two distinct practices united by transformation, materiality, and the poetics of surface.
Failles brings together the practices of Lee Hyun Joung and Joana Schneider through a shared exploration of material transformation, repetition, and surface. Working across distinct mediums, both artists create works that navigate the space between structure and erosion, tension and release. Through processes of accumulation, layering, and careful construction, their works reveal the physical traces of time, labor, and material memory, inviting viewers into a dialogue shaped by rhythm, depth, and transformation.
