We are proud to present the artist Sebastiaan Knot as our most recent resident artist at our gallery. In this first part of our collaboration, we are showcasing Sebastiaan Knot's artworks created in collaboration with Hedwich Hooghiemstra. Their joint effort explores the challenge of translating three-dimensional space into a two-dimensional photographic image, where the viewer can experience the image without being part of it. The goal is to reintroduce this image into a new three-dimensional space, allowing the viewer and the space to become integral components of the artwork.

Sebastiaan Knot and spatial designer Hedwich Hooghiemstra began their collaboration a year and a half ago. Their shared elements, such as transparency, reflection, and layering, enhance the interplay between photography and spatial design. This unique collaboration results in a captivating visual experience where the boundaries between two- and three-dimensional art blur, and both disciplines come to life in an innovative way.
