JEFF ROBB UNITED KINGDOM, b. 1965
THE ART OF DIMENSION
Jeff Robb is a visionary artist exploring the intersection of photography, sculpture, and three-dimensional imaging. Best known for his work in lenticular photography, he captures the female nude and abstract forms in space, creating a unique interplay between illusion and reality. His fascination with the liminal state—a fleeting moment of suspended perception—drives his artistic approach. Through lenticular photography, a process that combines depth and movement within a two-dimensional print, Robb invites viewers into a world where their perception of reality is momentarily disrupted. His work is a response to the spiritual void of modern life, offering moments of magical inspiration through his explorations of light, form, and movement. Expanding beyond photography, Robb has embraced bronze sculpture, blending cutting-edge modeling technology with historic casting techniques. His ability to merge traditional and experimental methods has solidified his reputation as a pioneer in three-dimensional art. Working across various media, including holography, painting, film, laser light, and sound installations, Robb creates immersive visual experiences that defy conventional artistic boundaries. Since earning his Master’s degree in Fine Art Holography from the Royal College of Art in 1992, he has continually pushed the limits of three-dimensional imaging. His groundbreaking work was the first hologram artwork accessioned by the Victoria and Albert Museum in London and is now featured in prestigious collections worldwide, including the Museum of Fine Arts in Houston, the Getty Museum in Los Angeles, and the private collection of Her Royal Highness Princess Firyal of Jordan.
