Overview
Through reflective surfaces, Daniel Basso invites the viewer to become part of the artwork itself.
Daniel Basso (b. 1975, Turin, Italy) is an Italian artist known for his mirror-finish sculptures that explore the relationship between reflection, identity, and perception. Working with polished stainless steel and highly reflective surfaces, his works create a dialogue between the artwork, the surrounding space, and the viewer, who becomes an integral part of the composition. Rooted in both contemporary design and Italian craftsmanship, Basso’s practice often engages with the concept of Genius Loci—the spirit of place—celebrating cultural heritage while reinterpreting it through a contemporary artistic language.
