JOAN SALÓ Spanish, b. 1983

Biography

Joan Saló navigates white as a space of repetition and rhythm. His paintings, built from thousands of hand-drawn lines using ink and acrylic, unfold like woven fields of thought. There is a strong kinship to minimalism and to Agnes Martin’s meditative grids, yet Saló’s visual language feels closer to calligraphy and automatic writing. He builds volume through nuance, structure through fragility. White becomes a zone of introspection—an intimate landscape mapped through gesture and restraint.
