FLORIAN ARAÏB — SHAPING CONTEMPORARY ART FORWARD

Founder and director of Galerie Sept, his approach to the art world is defined by strategic vision, adaptability, and a commitment to long-term artistic dialogue. His entry into the gallery world was unconventional: at 23, he faced resistance due to his age, so he created his own opportunity. With no initial roster or financial backing, he secured a space in Brussels’ Sablon district and, through persistence and sharp market positioning, quickly built Galerie Sept’s reputation—growing from an ambitious startup into a recognized player on the European art scene.

His expertise lies in curation and market development, bridging emerging and established artists. His ability to identify and nurture talent has strengthened the gallery’s presence in institutional collections, international fairs, and private acquisitions. With an emphasis on accessibility, collector engagement, and global reach, he has positioned Galerie Sept as a space for meaningful artistic conversations, both in person and online.

  • A   DISTINCTIVE   PLATFORM   FOR   CONTEMPORARY   ART

Founded in 2018, Galerie Sept is an internationally engaged contemporary art gallery with spaces in Brussels and Knokke, presenting a program rooted in abstraction, material experimentation, and conceptual depth. In Brussels, in the Sablon district, the gallery is known for contemporary abstraction that challenges form, texture, and perception. In Knokke, two exhibition rooms expand the program: one dedicated to abstraction, the other to contemporary figurative art.

A defining moment in the gallery’s history was the discovery of an artist whose hanji and ink works bridge abstraction and Korean tradition, leading to sold-out art fair presentations, institutional acquisitions, and a growing international collector base. Artist-driven and strategically curated, the program focuses on long-term collaborations, market development, and relationships with collectors, institutions, and curators, supported by digital visibility through platforms such as Artnet alongside in-person exhibitions.
